Aaron Rodgers, this one name invokes such contrasting emotions and reactions. Some call him ignorant, while many also consider him a free-spirited man who is willing to swim against the tide. A fact which no one can deny is that he absolutely loves to stay in the news.

Recently, renowned NFL reporter Dianna Russini claimed on the Rich Eisen show that Aaron Rodgers might have asked for a huge raise in order to stay with the Packers. According to her, Rodgers has demanded an amount in excess of $50 Million per year to play for Green Bay.

Pat McAfee claimed that he recently had a chat with Rodgers where he asked the star QB about reports stating that he has demanded $50 Million. “I texted him to ask about the reports claiming that he wants to become the highest NFL player by a wide margin and in response, he categorically denied all such reports,” Pat claimed.

It seems like Kurt Benkert was also not pleased with several analysts lashing out at Aaron Rodgers for asking $50 Million without even confirming the news with the QB. Kurt took to Twitter to reprimand Greg Jennings for spreading a false narrative about Rodgers.

L take, Lots of salt. Get a new narrative to spread. 12 is the most generous and thoughtful person I’ve met in the league. Not to mention the back to back best player. This sounds like it comes from a person that wanted to be that guy, but wasn’t,” Kurt Tweeted.

His Tweet came in response to Jennings’ take on Rodgers at “First Things First” where he had said, “Aaron Rodgers has been a very selfish guy. I go back to personal experiences. His words to me were, ‘don’t be that guy.’ All of a sudden, it’s about the money.” Jennings replied Kurt asking him, “so generous people can’t display acts of selfishness?

As far as wanting to be that guy. Not sure I understand you there. Are you implying a guy who that plays?” Greg further wrote. It will be interesting to see if Rodgers steps into the conversation to add some ‘valuable’ points.
