“As apathetic of a performance, you’ll ever see from Aaron Rodgers,” Leading NFL reporter lambasts Packers QB’s display against the 49ers

Green Bay Packers suffered a surprising defeat against the San Francisco 49ers in their playoff clash, which ended their hopes of making it into the Super Bowl LVI. The 13-10 defeat for the Packers, was largely due to the ineffectiveness of their attacking players who could hardly make any forrays into the offensive half of the field.

Packers’ veteran and future Hall of Famer quarterback Aaron Rodgers, had a shocker of a night as he failed to set up passes for his offensive players ultimately leading to the downfall for his side. Leading NFL reporter did not mince his words for Rodgers, calling him out for his poor performance on his recent appearance on the Colin Cowherd show.

Aaron Rodgers future with the Green Bay Packers is up for debate at the moment

“That was as apathetic of a performance that you will ever see in a playoff game out of a future Hall of Famer,” Dunne said to Colin Cowherd on Monday’s edition of “The Herd.”

Tyler Dunne wasn’t impressed with how Rodgers failed to link up with Allen Lazard and others even though, it could have been his final appearance for Green Bay Packers, given the rumours doing the rounds regarding his future at the franchise.

“You’re playing Jimmy Garoppolo at home, 5.5-point favourites, and you don’t even take those chances down the field. You miss Allen Lazard wide open in what may be your final throw as a Packer. It was a lot of the same problems you have seen for a decade now out of Aaron Rodgers.”

“Davante Adams wants to play with Aaron Rodgers. Aaron Rodgers wants to play with Davante Adams,” Dunne said. “Green Bay is going to want Davante Adams in the fold, just as Green Bay wants Aaron Rodgers in the fold.”

Tyler Dunne also gave his opinion on what Rodgers should do in terms of where he wants to play next season. He has been linked with moves to the Denver Broncos, 49ers and other franchises but the decision remains with the 38-year old and it should come very soon according to Dunne.

“I would assume in 10 days,” Dunne said. “I don’t think that he drags the Packers out into the public square and makes them get embarrassed all offseason long. I think he figures out what he wants to do relatively quickly.”
