“I think Bill Belichick is locked in…”- LeGarrette Blount believes that the Patriots head coach is still hungry for further success without Tom Brady
LeGarrette Blount. Bill Belichick and Tom Brady
Bill Belichick is regarded as one of the best coaches of all time and his resume speaks for him. So far in his 46 years long career, he has won 6 Super Bowls and has been a kind of the face of the New England Patriots for multiple years.
He was the one who took a chance on Tom Brady when nobody wanted to, and it proved out to be one of the best decisions of his life as the duo together won 6 Super-Bowls together at the New England Patriots.
However, people think that he won’t be able to get much more success ahead as Brady is no longer with him but Bill is still determined to achieve more in what already is a legendary coaching career for him.
Former Patriots player LeGarrette Blount believes that the Patriots head coach is still hungry for further success without Brady as he said, “I think Bill is locked in, and he’s going to be locked in for as long as he can — as long as he needs to be to find someone he’s comfortable with taking over the reins.”
“I think Bill Belichick is going to be going for a while…”- LeGarrette Blount
LeGarrette Blount further talked about his former coach and said, “I think Belichick is going to be going for a while — at least until he proves that he doesn’t need 12 (Tom Brady),”, Blount believes that Brady winning a Super Bowl with Tampa Bay has fueled a fire inside Belichick and he would be eager to win a Super Bowl without Brady in his team.
He added, “Brady was the one throwing the football. You can call the perfect plays and you can go out there and still throw three interceptions because the defense is showing you something different than what you thought you might see. I’m gonna stick with Brady on that.”, as Brady’s former teammate is taking his side in the debate between the QB and the coach.
Talking about Bill Belichick’s future with the Patriots, Blount said, “I know he’s not the person to hire the next head coach, but I know they’re definitely going to involve him in that process. They would be dumb not to.”
Bill Belichick has Mac Jones as his quarterback now and he looked promising in his rookie season it will be interesting to see if Belichick can win something with him instead of Tom Brady.
