“He’s No.1 on talent and ability” – NFL guru Mel Kiper believes Jameson Williams is the best receiver to come out of this draft

The 2022 NFL Draft is finally here! The most awaited event of the offseason will start in a few hours. Most experts believe that either Adian Hutchinson or Travon Walker will be the No.1 pick in this draft.
However, draft guru Mel Kiper believes Alabama star and former Ohio State transfer Jameson William would’ve been a guaranteed Top 3 pick had it not been for his ACL injury.
Jameson Williams would’ve been the first WR to be drafted if he wasn’t injured
Jameson Williams played wide receiver for Ohio State for two years before announcing his transfer to Alabama. Williams didn’t make quite an impact as a Buckeye but flourished at Alabama under legendary head coach Nick Saban in just a year. The star receiver started in 15 games having caught 79 receptions for 1,572 yards and 15 touchdowns. Sadly he suffered an ACL tear during Alabama’s national championship game loss to Georgia but is expected to make a full and speedy recovery.
“On talent, he’s No. 1,” Kiper said. “On ability, he’s No. 1,” Kiper said. “On where he will be slotted, probably the third or fourth receiver taken behind Garrett Wilson, Drake London, and maybe even Chris Olave. I have him as the third because you don’t know when you’re going to get him.
“(Jameson Williams) would have been the first receiver taken had he not had the ACL,” Kiper said on SportsCenter Saturday. “Here’s a kid with dynamic talent. I can tell you maybe he would’ve been the No. 4 pick to the Jets had he not gotten hurt. This is a guy who take the top off a defense with the best of them. He’s gonna be ready and healthier quicker than anyone could’ve ever imagined.”
Williams is further touted to be the closest thing to Tyreek Hill commonly known as “The Cheetah”. Hill was recently traded to Miami by the Chiefs and experts believe Kansas City should draft Williams the first chance they get because he’s the only player who can fill a Tyreek Hill-shaped hole in their offense.
