Derrick Deshaun Watson is a talented quarterback who has made a name for himself at the highest level. The QB who will now feature for the Cleveland Browns played college football at Clemson. The star QB successfully led his team to a national championship win back in 2016.

However, Deshaun has been involved in a few controversies in recent times. A lawsuit was filed against him by 22 women who accused him of harassment and sexual assault. Although a grand jury recently declined to indict him in the case, he still might face suspension in the upcoming season.

Needless to say, not many fans were happy with this deal. Several Twitter users pointed out that it is just disheartening to see Deshaun Watson, someone who has been accused of sexual misconduct by several women raking in so much money. In fact, Deshaun has become the first QB in history to receive $230 million of guaranteed money in a single contract.

Talking about the same, Michelle Beadle had a few things to say. “It doesn’t seem like anywhere else in the world are we so quick to just let a man do gross things right? Like we will excuse it if he can throw a ball, run fast, make a shot, hit a ball whatever. We’ll excuse all of it” she said.

“Deshaun Watson doesn’t know you. He doesn’t give a damn about you. You don’t know him. And even if he was able to meet you, he still wouldn’t care. But you are willing to put your name on the line and your integrity to defend a man who you don’t know what he did,” she added.

“I am assuming you have women in your life and let’s just say one of the women was one of the 22 women. Are you going to tell me that because he wasn’t criminally charged, he’s cleared?” she further asked adding that 22 is a lot of smoke and there’s at least a little bit of fire here.
