The news of Mike Willams passing away has shaken the NFL world. Multiple sources reported that the former Buffalo Bills player passed away due to a construction accident. He was working at a construction site after his retirement when a beam fell on his head. His brain swelled, and the spinal cord ruptured.
The doctor spotted his diaphragm pressing on his lungs when he was admitted to the hospital on September 1. In addition to this, he also suffered major bleeding. The former athlete went into a drug-induced coma but never recovered.
The former 36-year-old athlete was born in the city of New York. He went to Riverside High School. His college footballing career started at Syracuse University. His senior career started in the year 2010 when he was drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. After playing three years for the team he shifted to the Buffalo Bills. However, his career with the Bills did not last long as the former wide receiver joined the Kansas City Chiefs.
The Kansas City Chiefs was his last involvement in the NFL. He recorded his actions in the year 2016. After that, he took his boots off and concentrated on other professions. He finished his overall career with 223 receptions, 3,089 yards and 26 touchdowns. He was an average footballer with a colorful life.

Mike Williams had a colorful career
Williams led a colorful life and that left its signs on the field as well. His footballing career attracted some controversies as well. He started his college football career at the Syracuse football team. As a fresher, Williams registered 24 receptions and covered 461 yards. In addition to this, the player had 10 touchdowns in the year 2006. The former athlete was pivotal in the next year as well. Finished the season with 60 receptions for 837 yards and 10 touchdowns in 12 games.
His college career did not last long as the player indulged in multiple controversies like getting suspended for academic reasons and violating team rules. He was also involved in a car accident in 2009. In the same year, he registered a record of 49 receptions for 746 yards and six touchdowns in only 7 games.
In his first year as an NFL professional, the player registered 65 receptions for 964 yards and 11 touchdowns for the Bucs. In the 2012 season, the player had his all-time career-high 996 receiving yards.
His career had a good start. However, it significantly declined after he joined the Buffalo Bills. He had fallen out with his coach got suspended for a year and later joined the Chiefs. However, he had only a few months on the team and was later got released.
