“Baker Mayfield is my quarterback, He’s my guy”- Myles Garrett still believes in his quarterback

Myles Garrett and Baker Mayfield

Baker Mayfield who is the quarterback for the Cleveland Browns has been under the pressure throughout the last season due to his bad performances and has lost the trust of some of his teammates as well due to the whole Odell Beckham Jr. drama which happened during the season.

Many believe next season will be a big season for Baker Mayfield as the pressure is at an all-time high and if he fails to fulfill his expectations we might see him traded away from the Browns.

However, one of the teammates of Baker who still trusts him is their superstar on defense Myles Garrett who said, “I mean, he’s my quarterback. He’s my guy. He stuck by us, I’mma stick by him,”

Myles Garrett has a firm belief in his team and hopes that Baker performs well next season which will ultimately be better for the team as a whole.

The Cleveland Browns had a terrible season this year after performing well last year, the Browns missed the playoffs as the environment around the team was not good. OBJ’s situation really stressed everyone around the franchise and Baker’s shoulder injury impacted his performance massively which caused multiple bad results.

Baker is expected to step up massively next season as the franchise might be trusting him for one more season and if he fails to match their expectations next season, he might well be on his way out of the team. Earlier there were talks about the Browns being interested in other quarterbacks to replace Baker but they seemed to have cooled off as of now with Mayfield being projected to start the next season as their franchise quarterback.

The roster of the Cleveland Browns is talented enough to at least make the playoffs every year but they find themselves in one of the toughest divisions in the NFL with the likes of Baltimore Ravens, Pittsburgh Steelers, and the Cincinnati Bengals and it will be interesting to see how the team performs next season with Baker’s reputation on the line.
