The New York Jets, led by their star quarterback Aaron Rodgers, went against the New York Giants in their final preseason game last weekend. During the game, Rodgers got into a fight with Jihad Ward over a late hit by the Giants’ outside linebacker. Later, Ward claimed the Jets players started it all when Randall Cobb delivered a blindside block on Bobby McCain and joked about it. But now, Rodgers denies claims of laughing at McCain after the block.
“So he thought we were laughing at his teammate? That never happened and I think he’s making sh*t up,” said Rodgers according to the New York Post reporter Brian Costello.
After the game, Ward explained why he shoved Rodgers during the game. He said that he got upset because the Jets players appeared to be laughing after Cobb laid a heavy blindside hit on the Giants’ defensive back Bobby McCain.
“There’s a reason why I acted like that from the first place,’’ Ward told reporters according to ESPN. “There’s a reason why I shoved him like I did. The reason why is because I don’t let any of my motherf**king teammates get knocked over. And Randall. . . what’s his name? Randall Cobb? He knew what he did. That was some cheap s**t.”
Furthermore, he also called out HBO’s Hard Knocks for making him look a “s*cker” by only showing Aaron Rodgers’ side of the story. He said that his side of the story is he won’t let his teammates get knocked down like that.

The fight between Aaron Rodgers and Jihad Ward
The 10-time Pro Bowl QB Aaron Rodgers made his much-anticipated Jets debut last weekend. During the game, Rodgers played 2 drives and scored his 1st touchdown in the Jets’ uniform.
Rodgers got out of the game without any injury, but he did get into a fight with the Giants OLB Jihad Ward. The Giants linebacker shoved Rodgers well after the Jets QB completed his pass and Rodgers took offense to it.
The veteran QB called out the linebacker for his late it and asked him to show some respect. Furthermore, Rodgers insulted Ward by saying that he doesn’t even know who the Giants’ linebacker is. Rodgers went on to throw a touchdown pass and rubbed it in Ward’s face by saying, “Don’t poke the bear.”
Nonetheless, this drama has made the week 8 matchup between the Jets and the Giants a lot more interesting. Both teams will undoubtedly go extra hard to secure a victory in that game.
