The Seattle Seahawks had a terrible season this time as they failed to make the playoffs due to the injury suffered by Russell Wilson which derailed their season and the Seahawks ended up with the record of 7-10 and finished the last in the NFC West division, in which all the other 3 teams made the playoffs and one of them went on to win the Super Bowl- the LA Rams.
The Seahawks defense was terrible throughout the season which is why they hired a new defensive coordinator in Clint Hurtt who takes over a defense loaded with questions heading into the 2022 offseason while the major issue being on the correct and effective utilization of Safety Jamal Adams.
The new DC for the Seahawks, Clint Hurtt talked about Jamal Adams and said, “Jamal is still a difference-maker, How we use him, that’s going to be on me.”

The New Defensive Coordinator for the Seattle Seahawks further talked about one of the most important players of the Seahawks on the defensive end, Jamal Adams, and said, “How we use him, that’s going to be on me. It’s our responsibility, my responsibility to make sure we put him in positions so he can be at his very best, and we know how great he is at doing that.”
He added, “The other side of it though, and to his credit, as the season progressed, we put him in situations that really was not his background, so you have to give him some leeway in understanding that he was in a new world last year with some of the things he was doing, playing a quarter safety or half field safety and the adjustments he had to make along the way. And he really improved in that aspect throughout the course of the season.”
Clint Hurtt said, “He’s going to continue to get better, and obviously, there are multiple things he’s got to be able to do, so the quarterback can’t always peg him for just being one particular type of way.”
Apart from the defense of the team, one of the biggest concerns of the Seahawks is the uncertainty about the future of their quarterback Russell Wilson who has been with this team throughout his career and has led to multiple Super Bowl appearances with One Super Bowl win credited to the franchise and his decision to leave or stay with the franchise can play a huge impact on how the next season plays out for the team from Seattle.
