New Orleans Saints’ star Alvin Kamara arrested on battery charges after Pro Bowl appearance

New Orleans Saints’s running back Alvin Kamara was arrested in Las Vegas following his Pro Bowl match on Sunday. The Las Vegas police department issued a statement saying that they had made the arrest around 5:30 pm – 6:00 pm on Sunday night.

The anonymous victim had made the report after the assault took place at the hospital. The police made the arrest of Alvin Kamara pm February 6th and he was taken into custody.

Currently, Alvin Kamara is being held up at the Clark County Detention Center on felony battery charges. He has been accused of bodily harm as the victim had to be treated for the wounds inflicted. If found guilty he could face a year in prison along with a $10,000 fine.

Moreover, Alvin Kamara currently has his bail amount set at $5000. He will be also be facing disciplinary action from the NFL under the Personal Conduct Policy if found guilty.

The NFL have spoken about the situation and said that they are aware of the happenings. “We are aware of the matter but will decline further comment at this time.”

The Met Police Department have said that they identified the victim who was assaulted by Alvin Kamara after consultation with the detectives.

On February 5th at approximately 5:50 pm, LVMPD patrol officers were dispatched to a local hospital where a person was reporting a battery. The victim reported being battered at a nightclub located in 3500 block of South Las Vegas,” an official report read.

The investigation by LVMPD detectives determined that the victim was battered by the suspect later identified as Alvin Kamara. He was located and taken into custody without incident on February 6th,2022.”
