Tom Brady owns a lot of real estate in the NFL history books and he just added two more records to his name. The NFL veteran quarterback broke his own record and Rams QB Matthew Stafford‘s record.

The legendary QB holds numerous records in NFL history, including most passing yards (89,214), most passing touchdowns (649), most Pro Bowl appearances (15), most division titles (19), and plenty more. The veteran QB is also the oldest player ever to win a league MVP. He won the award in 2017 with the New England Patriots when he was 40 years old.

Brady has been playing the game for more than two decades, so it makes sense for him to have all the records. The 45-year-old QB has so many records that now he has started to break his own records. Just last season, Brady set the new single-season completion record with the Buccaneers when he completed 485 passes, and now this season, he broke his own as he finished the season with 490 completions.

The record with just a simple 5-yard dump to wideout Russell Gage during their week 18 game against the Atlanta Falcons. Just six plays before that record completion, Brady had already made another record. He broke Matthew Stafford’s single-season pass attempts record (727). The Bucs QB broke this record when he threw a pass to Chris Godwin, who caught and then proceeded to fumble the football in an attempt to gain some more yards. Brady finished the season with 733 pass attempts, which is a new record.

Brady and the other Bucs starters were pulled out of the game within two quarters since Todd Bowles didn’t want to risk any injuries in a meaningless game. The decision to pull the starters eventually led to a Bucs’ loss. Moreover, it gave Tom Brady his first loss (11-1)against the Falcons in his career.

For all the records and accolades Brady has, perhaps his greatest achievement in his 23-year-long NFL career is his seven Super Bowl rings. During his 20 seasons tenure with the Patriots, he went to nine Super Bowls and won 6 of them.

Furthermore, he signed with Tampa Bay in the 2019 off-season as a free agent and won his seventh Super Bowl ring in his first year with the new team. In his second year with the Bucs, they fell to eventual Super Bowl champions LA Rams in the divisional round.

And now, in his third year, he is looking to bask in the glory of Super Bowl victory one more time. The Bucs are 8-9 but have managed to clinch the NFC South, thus confirming a playoff spot. Don’t let the Bucs’ record fool you as the Tampa Bay team is getting hot at the right time.

The Bucs have been plagued with injuries all season, but now it’s all coming together with Julio, Gage, Evans, and Godwin all healthy. It would be tough to stop playoffs Brady. Furthermore, they might get their star center Ryan Jensen just in time for the playoffs, which will definitely help the NFC South champions to hoist the Lombardi Trophy one more time.
