Fowler thinks that Lance can make people forget about Garoppolo. Fowler on a radio show stated that “I’ve honestly heard, especially this summer when he’s been working out, I was told if he looks like this in camp, the way he’s looking right now, then people are gonna forget real quickly about Jimmy Garoppolo.”

Trey Lance still has a long way to go the 22 year old is in his second year in the NFL, this year can be very crucial for him if he wants to set his place as the number one QB in the team

The future seems uncertain for Jimmy due to the salary cap and tough decisions can be expected regarding the departure of the veteran QB. Coach Kyle responded by saying, “we had an awesome run with Jimmy. It was great but when you bring in a salary cap and things like that, there are so many tough decisions that you have to make and we made that decision a year ago. And we got to here and I was so happy with how Jimmy played last year, that he took us almost to the Super Bowl, got healthy and guys around him played real well”.

This entails that the stage is set for the 22-year-old who’s got a lot to prove and big shoes to fill. Only the future can predict how he turns out to be.
