Well, if your body says it’s not well, you’ve got to listen to it. As Randy Gregory neglected, he ended up throwing up on the sidelines mid-game against rivals, the Baltimore Ravens.

Before the mega matchup, the San Francisco 49ers defensive end was marked questionable on the injury list due to an illness. He was joined by defensive tackles Javon Hargrave (hamstring) and Elijah Mitchell (knee) on the questionable list ahead of the Monday Night Football game.

Gregory eventually got cleared to play against the Ravens but at the very last moment. However, it turns out to be a bad decision for him. The defensive end had to move to the sidelines as he threw up and couldn’t carry out the play.

It truly was a rough night for the 49ers, as after carrying an unbeatable record for so many weeks, they were roughed up by the Ravens, who were leading by 30-12 by the third quarter. Even the quarterback, Brock Purdy, ended up throwing four shocking interceptions.

With a 33-19 victory, the Baltimore Ravens remain with an unbeatable record for nine straight weeks and the top AFC seed. However, the 49ers have dropped to 11-4, level with their conference rivals, the Philadelphia Eagles and Detroit Lions.

This Monday Night Football game was considered a Super Bowl preview, with two of the best teams in the league against each other. Also, their quarterbacks, Lamar Jackson and Brock Purdy, are competing with each other for the MVP title.

Until now, it seemed accurate to say that QB Purdy was going to win the title considering his consistent performance throughout the year and having the shortest odds to win the title. But after throwing four major interceptions and suffering a shoulder injury in the fourth quarter, Purdy posted a season-worst outing.

Contrary to this, his MVP rival Jackson recorded two touchdowns in just 18 seconds and added a much-needed 45 rushing yards to his 252 passing yards, displaying a true MVP-worthy performance.
