Deebo Samuel is one of the most versatile wide outs in the game today and in a world that values wide outs highly Samuel’s is looking for his new deal with the San Francisco 49ers. Samuel was 49ers most effective player on offence as he earned first team All Pro selection with his 77 passes for 1,405 yards and 6 touchdowns last season while adding 365 rushing yards and 8 rushing TDs.

Samuel is currently a hold in at training camp waiting for an agreement to be reached between the 2 sides. Samuel will command a high compensation based on benchmarks set by the extensions other Wide outs have received recently specially his fellow 2019 2nd round draft picks A.J. Brown and D.K. Metcalf.

Everyone wants to know if there has been any progress in the extension for Samuel who earlier this offseason requested a trade form the 49ers as he was not happy with his usage. When head coach Kyle Shanahan was asked about said extension he replied- “I know they’re grinding through it, that’s all I can share, but nothing’s been done yet, but I know they’re working hard on it.”

Earlier during training camp Shanahan also talked about his talks with Samuel regarding his usage-  “We’re on the same page with it,” Shanahan claimed. It goes without saying that Samuel will command a massive salary and 49ers may need to move out of favor Quarterback Jimmy G and his $25 million deal for it.

While many experts are of the opinion that Jimmy must be given at least a reduced deal by the 49ers, it is tough to judge where exactly they are heading with Garoppolo. Right now, all eyes and ears are on the 49ers camp regarding further developments.
