Preparing for a game that would decide whether or not your team would qualify for the Super Bowl could be quite intense, but seems like the San Francisco 49ers have found another way around. As the players indulge themselves in puppy therapy hours before the NFC championship game against the Detroit Lions.
Courtesy of the Humane Society Silicon Valley, a community of saving homeless pets, the puppies were delivered to the Niners’ players on Friday. On spotting the adorable animals, George Kittle and Chase Young couldn’t hold themselves as they jumped up at the opportunity to cuddle with them.
In the clips of this wholesome moment that went viral on the internet, each of the 49ers players can be seen holding a puppy as they feed the little ones and cuddle with them. The team also posted a video on TikTok, where the players answered questions while caressing the adorable furry animals. Tight end Kittle said:
I'm gonna be here for a while.George Kittle said
Interestingly, this isn’t the 49ers’ players’ first interaction with dogs, given that they are the first team in NFL history to adopt a French bulldog, whom they named Zoë as their emotional support animal.
This season, San Francisco has come so far that they’re close to reaching their third Super Bowl of the century and an opportunity to win the trophy as they haven’t won since 1995.
49ers’ star receiver Deebo Samuel cleared to play in NFC title game
After a season of utter dominance in the NFC, the Niners advanced to the conference championship as the top-seeded NFC team. And cheery on the top is Deebo Samuel, the Niners’ star wide receiver, who has been cleared to play on Sunday.
Previously this season, in week 8, Samuel sustained a severe shoulder injury that kept him out for three games, and unfortunately, the 49ers lost all three of them. That’s why, when the receiver got hit on the same shoulder in the divisional round game against the Packers, he and the whole team had the legitimate fear that this might be Samuel’s season end.
But after the medicals, it was cleared that he only sustained a bruise and nothing serious that could avert him from playing the NFC championship game. Also, there aren’t any restrictions and limitations set on the receiver.
