Brock Purdy or Christian McCaffrey, who will win this year’s MVP? This question has been attracting a lot of media space since the beginning of the 2023 NFL season. Both of them had a fiery start and have continued their sublime form till now.

Both players love and respect each other. They do not leave any stone unturned when it comes to hailing each other for the MVP question. After the big win against the Arizona Cardinals in week 15, Purdy had a huge praise for his colleague.

When the press asked him who was the favorite to win this year’s MVP without hesitating, Purdy answered McCaffrey. He later emphasized how the latter impacts the game for the 49ers by continuously breaking into the opponent’s defense. Purdy also admitted that McCaffrey sometimes compelled the QB to become a silent spectator and watch the game.

Dude, I think Christian should be MVP. I really do believe that. He does everything for us. Runs the ball well and catches the ball. So in my eyes, he is the MVP.

The San Francisco 49ers team has once again sealed the NFC West for them. With 11 victories and just three losses, they are their division leaders and will end their season by leading their division.

In addition to this, the team is also presently the No. 1 in their conference. They will seek to clinch the NFC Championship title this year, which they failed to do last season. Purdy had failed to complete the game as he suffered a vital injury during the clash.

Considering the RB’s brilliance in the league, and throughout the season, Purdy said,

I’m the guy who hands him the ball off and then I turn back and watch what he does. Bouncing off guys, making cuts, twisting off guys, I just see the beatings that he takes.

Earlier, McCaffrey also had some great words for Purdy. He said that Purdy is the one who deserves to be named the MVP. Coach Kyle Shanahan, though, stayed neutral in choosing between the two.
