The offseason is nearing its end, and the teams are slowly taking shape. But A. J. Brown might be not available at the beginning of the Eagles campaign. Nothing serious, though; the Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver had one of his wisdom teeth pulled out.
That’s nothing new; a lot of people chose to do that so that it could ease some pain. However, what Brown did next is now the talk of the town. The 26-year-old went viral on Thursday when he went live on Instagram just after checking out from the dentist.
Brown wanted his followers to know about the successful procedure. However, it was clear that he was having some difficulties talking. He fumbled quite often, but tried his best to address those who tuned in.
One of them was his Eagles teammate, DeVonta Smith, who was laughing in the chat. The funny part is that Brown acknowledged him by saying ‘Smitty’ repeatedly. He even called his fellow WR to end the live stream, which he obliged.
A. J. Brown appeared to be feeling the effects of the anesthesia. Thankfully, he did not blurt out anything embarrassing. Just a harmless short chat with his followers on his whereabouts.
Who is the better receiver, A. J. Brown or DeVonta Smith?
The Philadelphia Eagles are one of the favorites to go deep in the postseason yet again. They almost won the championship last year but faltered at the last hurdle. The wide receiver duo of A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith would be vital for their bid to win the upcoming season.
Smith is entering his third season in the NFL and has already shown what he is capable of. While his numbers may not do justice to his ability, his playing style screams his potential. The 24-year-old has very good awareness down the channel and knows how to find spaces behind the defensive line. He finds the routes effortlessly. Last season, he played 17 games, rushed for 1,196 yards, and scored seven touchdowns.
On the other hand, A. J. Brown is already considered one of the best receivers in the league. Compared to his young teammate, Brown is more explosive and has a great engine. He can run up and down all day if need be. So it’s no surprise that last year he rushed for 1,496 yards in 17 games and scored 11 touchdowns.
These two, on their day, are a menace for the opposition’s defensive coordinators. 2023 could be the year they finally win the Super Bowl. The Eagles kick off their season on September 11 against the New England Patriots.
