A.J. Brown has made a name for himself at the highest level and now, he is a member of the Philadelphia Eagles. The wide receiver was traded in exchange for the 18th pick and a third-round pick.
There have been speculations about Brown demanding $20 million per year from the Titans. After the trade, the Eagles moved quickly by signing the star receiver to a four-year $100 million extension with $57 million guaranteed.
“I am confident in how I play”: A.J Brown
Recently, during his formal introduction to the team, Brown reflected on developing great chemistry with QB Jalen Hurts. Brown even called Jalen Hurts his “best friend,” the Eagles are expecting big things from the duo and hope that they will make the team’s offense a force to reckon with.
Most recently, as reported by NBC Sports, A.J claimed that he is feeling very confident about performing for the Eagles and is happy to be part of the unit. “I’m one of the top guys in the league. I’m confident in how I play, what I bring to the table. I’m glad the Eagles believed in me,” Brown said.
A.J also suggested that his work wasn’t really valued by his last franchise. He observed how the market was being dominated by wide receivers. Many top-rated receivers earned the big bucks but the Titans were not willing to offer a big raise to AJ which eventually prompted him to look for other options.
“I wanted my work to be appreciated,” Brown stated. The Eagles have added some really good players to their side and it will be interesting to see how things pan out for them in the coming season.
