Aaron Rodgers‘ departure from the Green Bay Packers has had conflicting responses. Some believe it was really bad for the Packers and they will struggle indefinitely. However, there are also some who have shown extreme positivity towards the future.
Aaron Jones has been the RB for the Packers for a long time now. The RB was drafted by the Green Bay-based team in 2017 and since then has been loyal to the team.
The 27-year-old has also played alongside Rodgers and was recently asked about his reaction to the QB leaving Green Bay and joining the New York Jets. Jones has accepted the reality of the situation and simply suggested everyone should move forward and shift their focus toward the future.
“A-Rod doesn’t want to be here, so he’s not going to be here,” Aaron Jones stated in a recent presser. “You’ve got to shift your focus and get ready.” The legendary QB was unsettled by the Packers for a long time now and wanted a change in scenery. However, the 39-year-old has won everything with the team and established himself as one of the greats of the game.
With Aaron Rodgers now gone to New York, Aaron Jones has shifted his focus towards working with young QB Jordan Love. He sees a bright future in the young QB.
Aaron Jones is looking forward to working with Jordan Love
Jordan Love was drafted by the Packers to serve as a replacement for Aaron Rodgers. However, the former NFL MVP was in exceptional form and Love was forced to the sideline.
Fortunately, the 23-year-old QB has now got the chance to prove all his critics wrong, and he is backed by Aaron Jones. The RB recently spoke to the reporters about the Jordan Love situation and praised him for his patience and hard work.
“He believes in himself, first off,” Aaron Jones said of Love. “That’s No. 1. You’ve got to believe in yourself or nobody else is going to believe in you. He believes in himself, he cares about everybody around him and we’ve seen him just come in consistently and just work, work, work.”
There has been a lot of chatter regarding Jordan Love’s ability to lead the line after the great Aaron Rodgers. However, Aaron Jones is confident that the young QB will perform really well in his first season as the starter.
