One of the most prominent quarterbacks in the NFL, Aaron Rodgers, was recently invited as a guest speaker at a psychedelic convention in Denver. Everyone is well aware of Rodgers’ love for psychedelic drugs and how openly he has been talking about the benefits of using them.
During the convention, Rodgers did the same but went a set further and made a strong case for legalizing psychedelics. Rodgers said, “Is it not ironic that the things that actually expand your mind are illegal and the things that . . . dumb you down have been legal for centuries? We’ve got to change that. We’ve got to change that. It’s through awareness and education.”
The New York Jets signal-caller also said that all the people giving him hate for using psychedelic drugs haven’t tried them and have no real basis for commenting on the side effects of them. Rodgers has also claimed that the use of Ayahuasca, a psychedelic drug, earned him back-to-back MVPs.
“It’s gonna be hard to cancel me,” Rodgers said. “Because previous year, 26 touchdowns, 4 interceptions, we had a good season. Ayahuasca, 46 touchdowns, five interceptions, MVP.”

Aaron Rodgers says NFL players have approached him for the use of psychedelic drugs
Rodgers also claimed during the conference that hundreds of NFL athletes have approached him regarding the use of psychedelic drugs and that he loves talking to them and explaining the positive side of these drugs that no one talks about.
The 39-year-old is in a position where he can influence the younger generation of the country. There hasn’t been any thorough research done on psychedelics and their reactions to the human body. Just because the former Green Bay Packers star says that he won league MVPs doesn’t mean everyone starts to use them in the league.
The 10x Pro Bowl quarterback then added that he first started his spiritual journey after winning Super Bowl XLV. Rodgers said, “Success in life was holding the Lombardi Trophy. Now I’ve done it. Now what? Now what’s the purpose of all this?” It’s considered common knowledge that after winning one championship, any player would try to win it as many times as possible.
However, it looks like he still hasn’t found his “purpose” because sadly enough for him, Rodgers has never made it back to the Super Bowl which has been a big black mark on his legacy in the league and his capability as a franchise quarterback. It’ll be interesting to see if Aaron Rodgers hoped up on psychedelics can manage to win the Super Bowl in the 2023 season or finally call it quits.
