“No one could’ve dreamt this” – Aaron Rodgers being considered a ‘serious pick’ as Vice President candidate of the USA baffles Jets fans on social media

Is Aaron Rodgers entering politics? It sure seems like that as he is being considered a ‘serious pick’ for the Vice President candidate. 

The New York Times reported that third-party candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. for the upcoming US Presidential elections has been talking “pretty continuously” to the New York Jets quarterback over the past month. 

Apart from his endeavors on-field, Rodgers gained quite the spotlight during the COVID-19 pandemic, in which he highly vocalized his skepticism on the vaccine. He has earned a reputation for promoting conspiracy theories and skepticism about the COVID-19 vaccine. That’s one thing that the former NFL MVP seems to have publicly aligned with Kennedy, who called giving vaccine dosage to children “criminal medical malpractice.” 

This shared viewpoint and Rodgers’ stardom in the NFL could be the reason why Kennedy is listing him as a serious candidate to take over the reign of Vice President in the USA, despite him having no prior experience in politics, let alone any elections. 

This vice presidential run couldn’t have come at a more hazy time in the star quarterback’s life. He sat down the entire first season with the Jets due to his Achilles injury. Now that he has recovered, the franchise and fans have high expectations from the 40-year-old. 

Fan reaction to Aaron Rodgers likely being in Vice President Candidates list

Having his name on the Vice President list on the upcoming presidential election ballot is sure a huge deal for Rodgers. And so unexpected for his fans. However, not the Jets fans, who don’t seem to appreciate the starting QB’s relation with Kennedy, that puts him in the lead to take over such a big office in the United States. 

Jets fans expressed their anger and frustration towards Rodgers and for the franchise, calling them out for not seeking NFL prospects such as Caleb Williams or Jayden Daniels. 

One fan wrote, “Everything usually goes wrong with Jets…but this? No one could’ve dreamt this,” while another wrote, “Maybe it’s better he leaves been nothing but a distraction.” Fans call this a dangerous career move for the NFL quarterback.
