Aaron Rodgers is a competitor who expects perfection on every play. The receivers must remain on alert every time. You cannot afford to drop a pass, or you will hear it from Rodgers. An incident occurred in the New York Jets‘ practice that perfectly illustrated what happens when you drop an easy pass from Rodgers. The cameras of Hard Knocks caught Rodgers ranting at TE Jeremy Ruckert for the dropped pass.

In what was a routine play-action play, Rodgers threw a pass over the top to Ruckert. It was a great pass, but Ruckert was unable to hold on. Rodgers was not too pleased about the situation. A furious Rodgers went off on the TE and dropped plenty of F-bombs along the way.

“F****** mistakes in one d*** drive,” Rodgers said furiously. Players are supposed to make mistakes and learn from them. The aim of practice and training camps remains to work on weaknesses and solidify the strengths. Nevertheless, Aaron Rodgers could not overlook the mistakes that piled up during the training.

Ruckert did not express any frustrations with his quarterback’s rant but praised Rodgers for his involvement with his new teammates. “It seems like he’s (Aaron Rodgers) really invested early on as an older veteran and future Hall of Famer. He approaches the game the right way. Obviously, he has all the talent in the world, but the way he (works) in meeting rooms — he can explain the offense to us and make sure that we know why he wants us in certain places.“ Seems like there’s nothing to worry about in the Jets camp.

Aaron Rodgers had some words for Giants’ linebacker Jihad Ward

Rodgers played in the New York Jets’ final preseason game against the New York Giants. In his 8 pass attempts, Rodgers completed 5 and threw for 47 yards and one score. He had a good outing, and his connection with WR1 Garrett Wilson remained perfect.

The HBO and NFL Films series Hard Knocks is covering the Jets this season. In the latest edition of the show, Rodgers and Giants’ linebacker Jihad Ward had a heated exchange during their preseason game. During the first quarter of the game, Rodgers completed a pass to Mecole Hardman. After the pass, Ward, who rushed towards Rodgers, shoved him slightly. Rodgers did not like that and devised a line he later called “un-come-back-with-able.” Rodgers told Ward, “I’ve never heard of you.“

Rodgers later threw a touchdown pass to Wilson and told Ward never to poke the bear. That’s the competitive side of Rodgers the Jets fans would love to see. They will open their season against the Buffalo Bills on September 11.
