Aaron Rodgers is one of the QBs in the NFL who is standing with Russell Wilson to speak out against the manner in which the QB has been treated by the Denver Broncos. On the latest iteration of The Pat McAfee Show, Rodgers addressed the issue at hand.

While the two have gone against one another in QB battles, the New York Jets QB believes Russ does not deserve to be treated in this manner.

Russ probably wasn't Sean's first choice...there's an old adage, the enemy of my enemy is my friend...my heart goes out to Russ for dealing with this. I think, say whatever you want about him, I think he's handled this pretty well. I definitely applaud him for speaking on it.

Aaron Rodgers pointed out to the face that now that this is out in the public, it makes fans look at everything that has transpired within the Denver Broncos organization over the past few weeks in a completely different light. Despite having been disrespected to such a degree, Wilson never acted out and that speaks a lot about him as a professional.

Rodgers further stated,

It's a tough situation...which is pretty scandalous that they would do that...it's still crazy to like threaten 'We're going to sit you' if you don't do this.

Rodgers then stated that Wilson is having a much better year than he did last season, yet the team treated him like this.

He has played well this season throwing for 3,070 yards, 26 touchdowns, and 8 interceptions. If not for him, the Denver Broncos would not be able in a position to even make an active playoff run. The team had an opportunity to make the postseason, but they blew it when they decided to bench Wilson and start Jarrett Stidham instead.

The Broncos will no longer be on the go-to list of any top athletes. After handling one of the most professional and down-to-earth superstars in such a disrespectful manner, it casts a bad image on the team.

Rodgers was right to dub the situation as scandalous because the team was attempting to compel the QB into altering a situation that they got into by renegotiating his contract.
