Rodgers presence at MetLife is a massive confidence booster for the Jets players.

Aaron Rodgers was reportedly spotted at the New York Jets facility to watch his team take on the Kansas City Chiefs. The veteran quarterback returns to Jersey for the first time since he injured his Achilles in the week-one game against the Buffalo Bills.
NFL insider Jordan Schultz broke the news for the first time that a 10-time Pro Bowler was in the building catching with the Jets team. Rodgers kept his promise to attend despite being on crutches.
In a recent appearance on the Pat McAfee Show, Rodgers said that he was keeping in touch with his teammates. He often talks with Zach Wilson to keep his motivation up. In the September 22 episode of the ESPN program, the 39-year-old hinted that he was planning to attend the Chiefs game. He just required clearance from the doctors back at his home in California.
Now that he’s at the venue, this will pump up the rest of the Jets squad, and they need it. Even though the Bills lost to the Big Apple side, from then on it has been a struggle. Losing the following two matches, especially the one against the New England Patriots, has allegedly generated tension in the locker room.
However, a solid performance against the Super Bowl winners can turn the tide for the Jets. For that reason, the presence of Aaron Rodgers inside MetLife is key. According to Schultz, the MVP signal-caller also took part in the Jets team meeting.
Zach Wilson needs Aaron Rodgers in his corner
The Jets’ acquisition of Aaron Rodgers meant that last year’s starter, Zach Wilson, would watch from the sidelines and learn as much as possible. It was a win-win situation for everyone. They get a Super Bowl winner as their centerpiece, and when he retires in a few years, he will hand over the reins to Wilson. By then, the 24-year-old would have enough experience to be the franchise quarterback.

But the early setback to Rodgers meant that the plan had to go. Wilson is now calling the shots, and fans are having déjà vu. In three matches this season, the former first-round pick has a completion rate of 52.4%, along with 8 sacks and 4 interceptions. This was not the dream scenario any Gang Green fan was hoping for; they were targeting the Super Bowl at the beginning of the season. Now it will count as a good run if the Jets manage to end the season with a positive win record.
But Rodgers’ presence in Sunday’s game could prove to be the Midas touch they need. Otherwise, Lady Luck of Taylor Swift will sign for the Chiefs.
