Aaron Rodgers is regarded as one of the best QBs of this generation. The Packers QB just came off from an MVP season and has not been able to replicate his form from last season.
The Packers are currently 4-7 in the NFL and all the fingers are being pointed at Rodgers. Many have even asked the legendary QB to hang up his cleats for good and consider retirement.
Rodgers was asked about life after football and plans for retirement on his weekly appearance on the Pat McAfee Show. The Packers QB agreed to have thoughts of retirement as he’s getting older, but his focus is now on the season and he’s not looking forward to the future.
“The focus is always on the season.. I’m not looking forward to the end & I don’t know when that’s gonna be,” Rodgers stated on the Pat McAfee Show.
The reigning MVP agrees that retirement is a strong possibility and it can happen at the end of the season or after 3 years. However, he’s not thinking about it much and will deal with it when the ideal time comes.
The Packers QB also felt grateful and believes he had a great run in the NFL and feels proud of all his accomplishments. Rodgers then ended his answer by saying that his focus is currently on the present and not on what will happen in the future.
Aaron Rodgers is having a terrible season with the Packers
Aaron Rodgers is probably having his worst season ever with the Packers as the QB looks like a shell of himself this season. The Packers went three straight seasons with a 13-3 record and now they have a terrible 4-7 that won’t help them get anywhere near the playoffs.
The departure of WR Davante Adams to the Raiders and offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett to the Broncos also didn’t help. The Packers are the biggest disappointment of the season and will continue to be so if they don’t turn their season around, which is highly unlikely.
The Packers will need to win their remaining six games to make a playoff run, although that seems like a far shot as they face the formidable Eagles in their next game who are strong contenders for the Super Bowl. However, if anyone can turn the Packers’ season around, it’s got to be Aaron Rodgers with his great ability and magical prowess.
