Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers has had his fair share of relationships during his glittering NFL career. To his credit, the quarterback has never really shied away from revealing his dating status even when things have not gone great.
The 38-year-old dated popular NASCAR driver Danica Patrick for two years, starting in 2018. The couple were together for two years and it has recently come to light that they could have just not met if not for Jim Carrey’s Dumb and Dumber.

The 1994 comedy film, starring Jim Carrey gave Aaron Rodgers the initial idea as to how to approach Danica Patrick when the duo met for the first time in a bar in 2012 when she was already in a relationship with Ricky Stenhouse. The revelation from Patrick simply goes to show when it comes to love affairs, even the great Aaron Rodgers has to rely on cheesy lines to impress women.
Speaking at an event where Danica Patrick was delivering a motivational speech, she entailed how their first meeting went. “He was at the bar, puttin’ out the vibe — ‘Dumb and Dumber,’ you know?” Danica Patrick said.
“And, I remember he was doing movie lines! And, people that love movie lines, LOVE movie lines. So, I think we had a dialogue in movie lines, and I was like, ‘This guy is really funny!’”
Jim Carrey therefore can claim a huge role in how Aaron Rodgers impressed Danica Patrick for the first time. However, the couple broke up in 2020.
