After two back-to-back defeats, the Cincinnati Bengals are finally back on the winning track. The team registered a much-needed victory against the Los Angeles Rams by a margin of 19-16. The game attracted a lot of media space not because the Bengals registered their first win, but because of Joe Burrow’s heroism. The highest-paid star quarterback of the Bengals played the game with his injured calf as his team needed him at the crucial moment. He secured the victory for the Bengals despite being far behind his best.
His performance received appreciation from a lot of analysts and players. The latest to join the bandwagon is Aaron Rodgers. Rodgers is out of the NFL season as he suffered an injury to his Achilles. However, he did not fail to recognize the bold effort that Burrow provided against the Rams. The legendary quarterback saluted Burrow and also gave a piece of advice to the player.
“I give Joe a lot of credit,” Rodgers said to Burrow. “Him and I had a conversation this week. Just for him to tough it out, I don’t know if people realize how much pain and limited mobility he was in. But for him to gut it out last night and to make enough plays to win, like I text him, that’s what great competitors do. They show up and play through the pain and don’t make it a big deal,” he added.
Burrow was not statistically great against the Los Angeles Rams. The player did not have a touchdown and was also intercepted once. However, the player was effective in leading the Bengals to march on to victory.
Joe Burrow has two fights to take on
This season is definitely going to be long for Joe Burrow. The player sustained a major injury in the team’s training season, in the offseason. He missed the necessary pre-season games and training sessions. The quarterback made his return to the field in the season opener against the Cleveland Browns and performed poorly. His performance reflected a lack of training before the regular session.

In three matches, the player has covered 563 passing yards and completed three touchdowns. To date, he has a passing completion rate of 55.4. He has also been intercepted thrice, this season.
Furthermore, Burrow also injured himself in the second match in the NFL. He is playing with an injury. If he does not get well then it will be difficult for him to get back to his old form.
