The New York Jets, led by their former second-overall pick Zach Wilson, took on the defending Super Bowl Champions Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday in their week 4 matchup. Many celebrities, including Taylor Swift and Ryan Reynolds, were in attendance to witness the game and so was the injured Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

Rodgers made his first public appearance after suffering a season-ending injury in week 1 of the ongoing NFL season. He was able to make the trip after being medically cleared by the doctors to fly to New York from Los Angeles. Rodgers reportedly only arrived in New York on Saturday night and surprised the team at their hotel. Only the Jets’ head coach Robert Saleh knew that Rodgers would be attending the game.

Nonetheless, after meeting the team at their hotel, Rodgers pulled up to the MetLife Stadium in crutches and even spent some time on the field. Furthermore, in a short video shared by the NFL on the social media platform X, Rodgers could be seen asking for a football to practice throws while being on crutches. “Let me get one,” said Rodgers before getting the ball and making a throw while still being on crutches. Check out the footage attached below.

The short video was reposted by many and went viral on social media. It accumulated more than 800k views within hours on social media. The Jets fans on social media were glad to see Rodgers progressing well in his recovery. Rodgers suffered a supposed ‘season-ending’ Achilles injury back in week 1 of the 2023 season.

In his absence, Zach Wilson took over the starting QB job of the Jets, but he hasn’t been able to fill Aaron Rodgers’ shoes so far. However, Zach had a great game against the Chiefs on Sunday.

The Jets QB Zach Wilson, who took over the starting QB role after Aaron Rodgers’ injury, was facing heavy criticism from fans and experts for his awful outings in the 2023 campaign. However, he had a great game against the Chiefs on Sunday despite the Jets’ loss.

Wilson completed 28 of his 39 pass attempts for 245 yards and 2 touchdowns and almost pulled off a miraculous comeback against Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs.

But, in the end, the Chiefs managed to secure a 23-20 victory against the New York-based football team. With the loss, the Jets fell to 1-3 and find themselves in trouble early in the season.
