The New York Jets are entering the 2023 season with lots of optimism and hope after acquiring Aaron Rodgers in the off-season. Rodgers, who spent the last two decades with the Green Bay Packers, will try to lead the Jets to a Super Bowl victory in the near future. Amidst this, the veteran QB faces some struggle in the training camp as he gets picked off by the Jets’ star cornerback Sauce Gardner.

In a video posted by the Jets’ official account on the social media platform X, Rodgers could be seen trying to complete a no-look sidearm pass to receiver Corey Davis. However, the 2022 Defensive Player of the Year award winner Sauce Gardner jumped in and made a great play to pick off the 10-time Pro Bowler.

Rodgers experimented with his sidearm pass and manipulated the defenders with his eyes, but Gardner just made a great play to intercept the pass. Still, the veteran QB Rodgers is known for his limited turnovers, so when he threw a reckless interception, it raised some concern among the fans of the New York-based football team.

Apart from the turnover fiasco, Rodgers also faced an injury scare in the training camp, which led the Jets head coach Robert Saleh to remind his defenders to stay away from the quarterback. Nonetheless, these are all expected when a quarterback joins a new team. But Rodgers is committed to the Jets and is working to lead them to a Super Bowl victory before their window closes.

On the sporting side of things, the Jets will begin their 2023 campaign with a preseason game against the Carolina Panthers in the coming weekend. They will play 3 preseason games to get warmed up before their season opener.

In their season opener, the Jets will face the defending AFC East champions Buffalo Bills led by Josh Allen on September 11. The Jets have one of the toughest schedules in the 2023 season. But with their stacked roster, they could take on some of the best teams in the league. If Rodgers can stay healthy and regain his MVP form, the Jets will have a shot at making it to the postseason for the time since 2010.
