Aaron Rodgers is nothing short of an anomaly. The quarterback for the New York Jets spent the entire offseason preparing to embark upon a championship run, however, Father Time had other plans as he ended up rupturing his Achilles tendon within the first 5 minutes of the game. The quarterback underwent surgery in the same week and is surprisingly significantly along on the road to recovery.
An injury to the Achilles tendon means that an athlete’s season is finished, and post-surgery, it takes anywhere from 6 months to a year even in some cases for the individual to be able to make a full return to the field.
However, judging by Aaron Rodgers‘ progress so far, he might be ready to play by the time February rolls around at this rate! The former quarterback for the Green Bay Packers was seen wearing a cast and relying upon crutches to get around at MetLife Stadium when the New York Jets faced off against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Aaron Rodgers’ progress post-surgery has been remarkable
It has just been a little over a week since then, Aaron Rodgers has managed to completely get rid of the cast and the crutches. The quarterback for the Jets is now back to leading a seemingly normal life off the field as a video of him pulling up to the New York Jets game ahead of the team’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles. The Jets posted this video on X.com.
In the video, Aaron Rodgers can be seen casually pulling up to the game in a mini-cart and being escorted to the locker room. Aaron does not have his cast on, nor is he relying on crutches to walk. He was able to get up on his own feet and walk normally which is remarkable considering the seriousness of the injury that he suffered. He’s clearly doing something right, and maybe he can be trusted to give medical advice after all.
Has A-Rod gone back to dabbling with Ayahuasca? Or is this the result of some new homeopathic medication that we mortals have no clue about? Only Aaron Rodgers will know the answer to those questions.
On the positive side, it is good to see him get better at such a pace. Rodgers was genuinely enthusiastic to play this season and his injury could not have come at a worse time. There is still optimism for the quarterback to return, maybe even this season and oh, what a story it would be if Aaron Rodgers comes back during the postseason and helps the Jets navigate their way to a Super Bowl victory!
