The New York Jets’ QB Aaron Rodgers is once again making headlines for all the wrong reasons. Rodgers has been in the headlines a lot this off-season, mostly for football-related reasons. But now, the expensive quarterback was trashed by NFL Insider Mike Florio after Rodgers started crowdfunding for his next business venture.

The 39-year-old QB is looking to accumulate $1.25 million via crowdfunding for his business startup, which did not sit well with many people, including the NBC analyst Mike Florio. “I’m just astounded by it,Mike Florio said according to NBC Sports.

“Why are you trying to raise $1.235 million by begging strangers for money? Money for nothing. Donations. Crowdfunding. Fancy words for ‘Give Me Money’ please. I have no problem with people seeking online support for their causes. But usually, it’s people who don’t have a lot of money in their bank. And are not entitled to $109 million over the next two years,” added Florio.

The 10-time Pro Bowl QB Aaron Rodgers is partnering with actor Ryan Rottman to start the business venture, ‘Online Sports Database’ that aims to be similar to the IMDB (International Movie Database) for sports fans. Rodgers and Rotman announced last week that they will be raising $1.25 million via crowdfunding for their business venture.

Florio among many other was pissed since crowdfunding is for people who are not making bank. But Rodgers, who has a net worth over $200 million and who is set to make $109 million over the next two years with the Jets using crowdfunding, has upset many people.

During the 2023 off-season, the 4-time league MVP quarterback Aaron Rodgers and the New York Jets joined forces with one goal in mind. That is adding another Super Bowl ring to their resume.

The Jets have a stacked young roster with talented players all across the field. All they needed was a good veteran signal-caller, who could also be a good leader in the locker room.

Rodgers is also looking to win another Super Bowl ring at this stage of his career. Since the Green Bay Packers are going into a rebuild mode, he thought jumping ship to the Jets would be a good career choice for him.

Now, the 4-time All-Pro QB would look to lead the New York-based football team to the postseason. He would have to be at his very best to pull this off in the upcoming 2023 season.
