The New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers has a new nickname for Travis Kelce, and no, it doesn’t have anything to do with the Kansas City Chiefs tight end’s alleged relationship with Taylor Swift. Rodgers, a well-known anti-vaxxer, recently took a shot at the All-Pro tight end for promoting the COVID vaccines.

During Tuesday’s episode of ESPN’s The Pat McAfee Show, Rodgers made an appearance to discuss the Jets’ Week 4 game against the Chiefs. While talking about the moral victory the Jets had on Sunday, Rodgers gave a new nickname to Kelce.

“There’s some sort of moral victory out there that we hung with the champs and that our defense played well,” Rodgers told McAfee.Pat [Mahomes] didn’t have a crazy game, and ‘Mr. Pfizer,’ we shut him down. He didn’t have a crazy impact game. Obviously, he had some yards and stuff, but I felt like for the most part, we played really tough on defense and played well the last three quarters.”

Rodgers’ “out-of-the-blue” shot at Kelce came as a surprise to everyone. McAfee and Aaron’s long-time friend AJ Hawk couldn’t hold their laughter when the Jets quarterback referred to Kelce as “Mr. Pfizer.”

Later, McAfee asked Rodgers about his new nickname to Travis Kelce, to which the 39-year-old quarterback replied, “He’s doing commercials for Pfizer, so I’m sure he’s owning it.”

Rodgers, who was back on New York’s sidelines for the first time since he ruptured his Achilles in Week 1, had a good chat with Travis Kelce before the game. The 10-time Pro Bowler also had a chat with the reigning league MVP, Patrick Mahomes, before the game. Rodgers later revealed that he and Mahomes had a conversation about how they haven’t been able to play against each other because of injuries in recent years.

Aaron Rodgers has bold aspirations to play again this season

Last month, when Aaron Rodgers went down with a ruptured Achilles, it was considered a season-ending injury. Some even claimed that the 39-year-old quarterback has played his last snap in the NFL. However, Rodgers has now revealed his bold plans to play for the Jets again in this season.

Rodgers had a chat with NBC reporter Melissa Stark before the Chiefs-Jets week 4 game and revealed that he is going through an aggressive rehab process which includes five hours of working per day.

The 4-time league MVP reportedly claimed that he is looking to make a return to the field this season. Is it possible? Well, the most likely scenario will be Rodgers could make a return to the field in January if the Jets make it to the playoffs.
