Aaron Rodgers was subjected to a major Achilles Tendon injury at the beginning of the season and was ruled out for the entire 2023-24 campaign. The QB then underwent a lot of things. He had a successful surgery, went into rehab, and now is slowly coming into life. Ahead of the clash between the New York Jets and the New York Giants, the legendary quarterback who is about to step into his 40s was spotted throwing some balls.
In a short video that went viral on social media, Rodgers was seen asking for some balls from a person. When the person gave him the ball, he made a perfect throw. Not once, not twice, but thrice. After suffering ‘that’ fatal injury, everyone thought that this might be the end of his career.
Of course, they had every reason to think. Suffering an injury on the Achilles Tendon is no kid’s play. Moreover, Rodgers is 39. Professional football demands some level of fitness and it is expected that a player who has been playing for more than 18 years will not have that.
However, Rodgers is a different kind. He proved everyone wrong and slowly came back to the stage. Now, the Jets fans can expect him for one more season.
After a sluggish start, the Jets have finally started showing their true colors. After week 4, they were standing at a 1-3 record. Now, after seven games, they share a 4-3 record. Consecutive three wins in a row changed their dynamics. The win against the Giants will boost their confidence and their playoff dreams will also be in line.
Fans went crazy to see Aaron Rodgers throwing the ball during the Giants-Jets game
Twitter went crazy after Aaron Rodgers threw the ball quite a few times.
Some of them were so impressed that they asked for his DNA. Check out some of the comments made by the fans.
It is unsure when Aaron Rodgers will return in the Jets’ color. Earlier, speculation arose that Rodgers might play if the Jets reach the playoffs. However, that speculation no longer exists.
Anyhow, the Jets, without Rodgers, are doing their job. The game against the Giants was a low-scoring game. The Jets’ defense had the numbers of the Giants so much that they failed to grab more than ten points. Zach Wilson had a so-so game as he covered 240 yards with a touchdown.
