The New York Jets are set to compete for the Super Bowl championship after adding the veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers in the off-season. The Jets have done a great job at building a strong roster over the years. Still, their struggling offensive line remains a massive concern for the New York-based football team. But Rodgers is not panicked about the O-line yet.

According to ESPN, Rodgers insisted that his concern about the O-line is “pretty low” despite having a tough time behind the line of scrimmage in the Jets’ joint practice with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. “It’s Aug. 16, so we’ve got some time,” he said.

Besides, the 39-year-old signal-caller Rodgers believes patience is the key to success and the pass-protection struggles will resolve once the starting five is set on the offensive front.

“I don’t get concerned about things I don’t have a huge role in — yet,” Rodgers said, per ESPN. “That might change. At some point, I might say, ‘Hey, I need the five who are going to be in there to be in there with me for a solid week,’ but I don’t think we’re at that point … because I don’t think there are five guys that have earned those spots. So, I have some patience.”

During the joint practice, the Buccaneers’ loaded defensive front had a feast against the deflated Jets’ offensive line. They registered six sacks against Aaron Rodgers and were constantly wreaking havoc on the Jets’ offensive backfield. The New York-based football team was missing several of their starting linemen including both of their starting guards Laken Tomlinson (leg) and Alijah Vera-Tucker (ankle) due to injuries.

The Jets’ new franchise quarterback Aaron Rodgers is under immense pressure to win with his new team immediately. Rodgers was traded by the Green Bay Packers to the Jets in the off-season.

The Jets have a strong roster and only lacked consistency at the quarterback position. Now, they have the veteran leadership of Rodgers. The 10-time Pro Bowler is coming off a bad year and is looking to regain his MVP form.

After adding Rodgers, the Jets have roped in multiple talents to help the 4-time league MVP improve his game. In the 2023 off-season, they added Allen Lazard, Dalvin Cook, and Randall Cobb to boost their team strength.

Rodgers has a 2-year window to win a Super Bowl with the Jets. But now, he will be focused on leading the New York-based franchise to its first playoff appearance since 2010.
