Everyone wants to know when Aaron Rodgers will return from rehab. Pat McAfee is no different, and when he got the chance to ask the New York Jets about his estimated date of return, Rodgers implied he ‘visualizes’ returning to play for the Gang Green soon.

The college football season runs parallel with the NFL season, and Pat McAfee is always in the thick of it. He and the other hosts of the famed ESPN sports program, The Pat McAfee Show, traveled to Notre Dame University to cover their upcoming game against the Ohio State Buckeyes. Aaron Rodgers made a special appearance and talked about how his rehab was going. McAfee then asked the important question: when is the four-time NFL MVP coming back?

“Have you thought about the moment of you jogging back out at MetLife Stadium again next season after healing your Achilles and coming back at the age of 40? Have you ever visualized that?” McAfee asked Rodgers.

Rodgers replied, “Of course, visualization is important to the manifestation process. You have to have the belief that it’s going to happen [play for the Jets] again. In order for that idea to be able to turn into a reality, so definitely [possible].”

The Jets fans would want the veteran to return as soon as he can. It’s fair to assume that the Big Apple crowd doesn’t have much faith in Zach Wilson. And after the Cowboys game, most felt a sense of Déjà vu from last year.

But Achilles takes time to heal, and on top of that, Rodgers is 39. He did mention former Rams’ (now Vikings) tailback Cam Akers making a swift return, but he was 22 during his rehab. Rodgers knows it will take time, but he gave assurance that he is itching to get back on the field.

“When I visualize it, I’m visualizing being back on the field. Being able to run out of the tunnel, back onto the field, to do exactly what I love,” Rodgers said.

Aaron Rodgers bursts the Dolphin myth

It’s no secret that Aaron Rodgers loves to play football, but one of his best qualities is playing with words and joking around. After his successful surgery, Rodgers had a short chat with Pat McAfee through FaceTime and asked about some of the processes that he was looking into for a speedy recovery. He revealed the dolphins’ mating voices have a healing attribute, so they are looking into it. As wild as it may sound coming from the former Packers, it sounded legit.

But when McAfee, during yesterday’s interview, reminded Rodgers of the dolphins, he said, “The dolphin mating frequency, that was a joke.”

Then they took it one step further, saying if Rodgers drank his urine, it would speed up his rehab. That statement was even bizarre for the Pro Bowler himself. He replied, “I’m not drinking any p*ss.”

On the sports side of things, the Jets reached out to retired quarterback Chad Henne, who won two Super Bowls with the Kansas City Chiefs. But the 38-year-old claimed he turned them down and was focusing on managing his high school football team.
