“What’d I tell you!”- Aaron Rodgers jubilant after predicting teammate Danny Etling’s 51-yard TD scramble on air

Danny Etling managed to pull out an absolute banger when he scored a 51-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter of Friday’s pre-season victory over the New Orleans Saints, and yet it was not the run itself that became the spotlight in the highlight reels, the headline of the play became who was on air at that time. With Aaron Rodgers being interviewed mid-game, Etling took the snap and went unchallenged to his right for the touchdown.

This isn’t the first time Etling has run a naked bootleg and scored on a long touchdown run. During his time with the New England Patriots in 2018, Etling scored an 86-yard touchdown run on a naked bootleg to his right – and this touchdown looked eerily similar. Rodgers was actually complimenting Etling’s athleticism and reminiscing about that exact run minutes before he scored Friday night.
