Was the Super Bowl fixed? Ever since the Kansas City Chiefs turned the game in their favor late in the third quarter and won their third Super Bowl trophy in five years on Sunday night, many have wondered whether the big game was fixed in their favor. Well, there seemed to be even a bigger controversy as CNN’s Abby Philip intends to bring forward.
On CNN Monday night, three-time Super Bowl champion Patrick Mahomes made a special appearance where he bizarrely questioned his thoughts on whether the Super Bowl LVIII game was actually fixed to please the iconic superstar Taylor Swift, in the hope for her endorsement for President Joe Biden amidst the ongoing Presidential elections in the United States.
Philip said, as she also highlighted how President Biden himself got involved in a joke and asked the Chiefs’ signal caller’s thoughts on this from a political viewpoint:
There were some wild conspiracy theories that were flying around this season that the Taylor Swift effect was all scripted to allow Taylor to use the Super Bowl for politics, basically.Abby Phillip said
Apparently, Mahomes answered in a reluctant manner saying:
Yeah, it’s been wild to see. I mean, I try to focus on football as much as possible, but there are always some conspiracy theories out there. I just try to enjoy football, my family, and I kind of stay off social media as much as possible.Patrick Mahomes said
How can an endorsement from Taylor Swift would benefit Joe Biden?
According to the RealClearPolitics average, former US President Donald Trump is currently leading Biden by 2% points nationwide in the hypothetical polls.
Therefore, an endorsement from the 14-time Grammy winner would do him wonders for the Presidential elections, just like it did back in 2020 when Swift endorsed Biden in his first face-off against then-President Trump.
Despite not having any connection with politics, her endorsement army of loyal fans (known as Swifties) gives the “Midnight” singer political clout. Not only that, Swift also gave a major boost to the US economy because of her record-breaking albums and Eras Tour.
