Caleb Williams or Justin Fields? The Chicago Bears sure have a major decision to make ahead of the 2024 NFL Draft, given they have the No.1 pick. There have been various theories suggesting the what and if case scenarios, as many commentators and analysts have expressed their opinion as advice to ease the dilemma of the Bears.

Joining the queue, NFL analyst Adam Rank recently addressed the quarterback situation in Chicago, and from his words, it appears he knows something the fans do not. As he reflected confidence about the franchise’s decision to let go of quarterback Fields and start afresh.

In a recent episode of The Sick Podcast with Adam Rank, the NFL analyst said,

I say this because I want um... If Justin is leaving and by the way, not to blow up anybody... I’m not gonna give up who these people are. But I’m getting texts during the show as they tell me, ‘The Bears are not keeping Justin Fields.’

Rank also defended his sources saying he isn’t targeting the Bears, it’s just what the rumors suggest. Rank added,

He’s not making stuff up. He would not make anything. He’s not doing this for clicks

David Kaplan of ESPN100 also reported that the Bears are not entertaining any trade offers for their No. 1 pick this offseason, and are finalizing their decision to go ahead with USC star Williams over Fields.

Can Caleb Williams break the Bears’ stagnant streak?

Even if the Bears successfully drafted Williams using their No. 1 pick, his journey in the NFL may not go as the young quarterback is hoping for. As many analyst as well agree, that he is going to take only 25% of his college success to the NFL.

Bears sure have a rich culture and history, but it’s also true that for nearly half a decade, the franchise hasn’t done anything notable. Many anticipate Williams would end up like Fields with the Bears, or worse.

For what the franchise is hoping, the immediate success taking them straight to the Super Bowl is a hypothetical scenario. Getting the swing of the NFL would still take some time for the 22-year-old, no matter how many legends he studies.
