The Miami Dolphins led by their star quarterback Tua Tagovailoa currently have one of the best records in the entire league with 6 wins and 3 losses. However, following their rough loss against the Kansas City Chiefs, the Dolphins have been receiving criticism from many people including the CBS Sports analyst Adam Schein.
During his recent appearance at the SiriusXM radio show, Mad Dog Sports Radio, the CBS analyst Adam Schein sounded off on the Miami-based football team for failing to show up against the big teams.
This team is a bunch of frauds, the Miami Dolphins are not worthy of our time. The Dolphins are not worthy of discussion. And, I wanna make sure I'm clear. . . I like Tua [Tagovailoa], I love Mike McDaniel, I love the story. . . It's more fun when you compete [against] one good team. Just one! one good team.Schein via Mad Dog Sports Radio.
The renowned analyst went on to say that the Dolphins have better players than the Kansas City-based football team, but they still managed to lose their week 9 matchup in Germany. Furthermore, Schein lambasted head coach Mike McDaniel’s coaching record against big teams.
It's alright, Mike McDaniel made me cry. . . And then, you watch him against a good team and he makes you cry again!
On Sunday, in what was expected to be an offensive showdown between two of the best offensive units in the league, the Dolphins suffered a 21-14 loss against the Chiefs. With that loss, the Dolphins fell to a 6-3 record in the ongoing NFL season. It’s still a good record, but they have been performing very poorly against the winning teams, which prompted many to label them as potential frauds.
Tua Tagovailoa and the Dolphins have very poor record against big teams
The star quarterback Tua Tagovailoa and the Dolphins have a solid record in 2023, but they haven’t shown up against the winning teams, leading many to question their team’s real potential.
The 5 teams Miami has defeated so far have a combined record of 12 wins and 30 losses. The 3 teams, they have suffered a loss against so far, have a combined record of 20 wins and 7 losses. So, it’s obvious the Dolphins haven’t been great against teams with winning records.
Nonetheless, following their disappointing trip to Frankfurt, the Dolphins have a bye in week 10, which they would use to regroup together before resuming their hunt for the Super Bowl trophy in week 11 when they are scheduled to face a new-look Las Vegas Raiders.
