Hollywood had used the field earlier as well.

Not only humans, but even AI robots have developed interests in the NFL. In the match between the Los Angeles Chargers and Miami Dolphins, two AI robots were spotted at the SoFI stadium in Los Angeles. These two robots were seen hanging around and enjoying the game. Their presence scared some spectators while some had fun seeing robots watching games from the stands.
These robots came into the field as part of a promotional campaign for a film called ‘The Creator.’ It is a man-against-machine movie where the perks of dualism between human intelligence and artificial intelligence will be portrayed. The film is directed by Gareth Edwards, who is famous for his works like Godzilla, Monsters and Rogue One. The film will depict the potential consequences of AI.
The AI question is haunting the world. Hollywood artists were earlier seen launching a strike against the overuse of AI. Artisans who took part in that strike claimed the excessive use of AI would take a lot of jobs away and people would end up being jobless and they do not support that. The strike was aimed at protecting the economic interests of the artists in the industry.
This is not the only time Hollywood used a sports ground for the sake of the promotion of a film. Prior to this, the horror film ‘Smile’ sent actors to a baseball stadium. Recently, another horror film ‘M3GAN’ also sent actors for a halftime show at the SoFi stadium. Edward Gareth’s film is the new addition to the list.
When is the film going to be released?
As it is fixed, the film is set to be released on September 29. It features actors and actresses like John David, Gemma Chan, Ken Watanabe, Allison Janney and Madeleine Yuna Voyles.
It is to be seen whether the film gets any success at the box office, but their promotional campaign was very much on the spot. These robots were placed on the sidelines, some were in the concourse and some of them sat in seats throughout the stadium.
A few robots were dressed in famous blue powders, which happens to be the uniform of the Chargers. Apart from the Chargers’ uniform, some robots were seen in jackets. Overall, they participated in the match as spectators and thoroughly enjoyed the game.
