The Baltimore Ravens just outplayed the Detroit Lions at home. It was supposed to be a close encounter between two teams that are vying for a playoff spot. Instead, it was an absolute blowout as the Ravens dismantled the Lions, limb by limb. Even before a whole quarter of football was to be played, the game was over. The Ravens won the game 38-6.
However, one might argue that they have earned that lead by some dubious means. In a video posted on Twitter, the Ravens’ offensive line is doing everything they can to stop the Lions’ star defenseman Aidan Hutchinson. The 23-year-old defensive end is seen getting held and pushed back by an o-lineman during a play.
The video was posted by MLFootball on Twitter. They wrote the caption:
THIS IS REALLY BAD: #Lions DE Aidan Hutchinson clearly getting HELD by the #Ravens o-line here, it seems to be happening EACH play.
Hutchinson wasn’t allowed anywhere near the Ravens’ QB Lamar Jackson. However, the Lions’ offense went missing as they failed to score a single point through three-quarters of the game.
With a win against Detroit, the Ravens improved to 5-2, whereas the Lions slipped to 5-2. However, both these teams will still be in a great position for the second half of the season.
Are the Baltimore Ravens the real deal this season?
The Baltimore Ravens came into the season with a healthy squad. The past couple of years were marred by injuries as they saw their rivals win Super Bowl titles. However, this season feels different for them. They are healthy and have started the season with five wins in their first seven games.

Most recently, they played the Detroit Lions at the M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore and did a job on them. They didn’t let the Lions score in the first three quarters and poured in 35 points of their own. The Lions are no joke as they have won more games than the Ravens this season. So this is a statement performance from the Baltimore-based team.
The Ravens will hope to build on this performance in their upcoming games and make a deep playoff run this season. They will play their next game against the Arizona Cardinals next Sunday.
