Aidan Hutchinson is undoubtedly the most excited player in the NFL as he is getting a taste of a professional football player’s life. The defensive end is extremely talented and he brings a ray of hope to the Detroit Lions football organization as they look to end their terrible streak of barely winning any regular season games. The entire team seems to be excited with Dan Campbell as their HC. The Lions have been featured on this year’s edition of Hard Knocks, the popular show that films the behind-the-scenes of an NFL team’s locker room every year.
This time, it was the Lions’ turn to starr on the show and despite many claiming that it would barely have any viewership considering that the team is always at the bottom of the rankings, the show has actually fared pretty well. You’d think that Aidan Hutchinson is to credit for all of this but there is actually another face behind the scenes who is the real reason that people are watching the show.
Aidan Hutchinson’s mother Melissa would have “sobbed” on camera if the DE was drafted by a different team
Melissa Hutchinson, the defensive end’s mother has become a celebrity herself, ever since the draft night photo of the duo emerged, fans across the league have been oozing over her. Though she is around 42-45 years of age, she does not look a day older than 30. During the latest installment of Hard Knocks, Melissa had quite the confession to make.
She is an overprotective mother and hates to see Aidan leave town and go away from her. She confessed that if the DE would have been drafted by any other team apart from Detroit, she would have cried a lot. Melissa wanted the 22-year-old to remain in his native State of Michigan and added that the cameras would have caught the family “sobbing” on draft night if he had been drafted by a different team.
“Aria(Aidan’s sister) said when we go to the draft, if he doesn’t get drafted by the Lions I will be sobbing on camera, everybody will think that I’m so happy that he went somewhere else but I would be so depressed that he’s not home,” Melissa concludes. It is natural for a mother to want to stay near her children and though Aidan is 22, she will always consider him to be a child.
Lucky for her that she was saved from shedding tears live on national television as the Lions wasted no time in drafting Aidan, NFL fans on Twitter also had a field day reacting to Melissa Hutchinson who appears to already have surpassed the fanbase of the entire Lions organization.

She is gorgeous enough to get by as his girlfriend as well.
