The Alabama Crimson Tide, with the help of Jalen Milroe, snatched a 27-24 win from under the nose of the Auburn Tigers. This win means that Nick Saban‘s side still has their playoff dreams intact.

With under 0:43 left on the clock, Auburn was looking comfortable with a 4-point lead. Their only worry was that Bama had the possession and timeouts in reserve. Eventually, they did not need to call for extra seconds.

Milroe had ample time being protected by the offensive line as he took the snap on fourth-and-31. He checked back to see who was available. As time ran out, he threw a long, hopeful ball toward the Auburn end zone.

Wide receiver Isaiah Bond caught the ball while making sure both of his feet were in before going out of bounds. Touchdown and Bama won their 11th game of the season and the Iron Bowl along with it.

Jalen Milroe wants the Heisman Trophy after beating Auburn

Saturday night’s win at Jordan-Hare Stadium was fitting, considering it was the 10-year anniversary of the Kick Six. Auburn could have hung on to record their 7th victory, but there were some crazy scenes in the last five minutes before Milroe’s dime.

The Tigers had botched a punt to hand the ball to Bama near their 30-yard line. Then Milroe botched a snap, which pushed them back by 18 yards. Then the quarterback was flagged for an illegal pass on the next play and lost 31 more yards. It’s not short of a miracle that he even managed to complete the pass to Bond.

Nick Saban admitted that there was a few “weird stuff going on.”

There's been some weird stuff to happen here. And this is the first time I can remember it going in our favor.

In the end, only the final result matters, and it went the way of Saban. After the referee blew the final whistle, the camera caught Milroe shouting,

Let’s go. Let’s fuc*** go. Give me the Heisman! Give me that motherfu***.

He capped off the night with 259 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 107 more yards. CBS Sports Jenny Dell asked the Bama head coach for his opinion on Jalen Milroe’s last-gasp winner.

Believe it or not, we work on that. It was just a great throw by Jalen and a great catch by Isaiah. I mean, we worked on it, but we threw it up for grabs, really.

Isaiah Bond completed five catches for 75 yards and a TD, but their best receiver was Jermaine Burton, who caught the ball four times and gained 107 yards and one endzone run. Alabama Crimson Tide wrap up their 2023 campaign with a trip to Mercedez Benz Stadium and face the No. 1 ranked college football team, the Georgia Bulldogs.
