The Alabama-Texas game on Saturday was a great spectacle overall. The Longhorns recorded a huge win against the Alabama Crimson Tide. The tenth-ranked team in college football, Alabama, has dominated the NCAA over the past two decades. The Texas Longhorns came into the game having won their first game against Rice University and defeated Alabama in a resounding fashion.
Although the on-field action had great moments, the same can’t be said about the off-field actions of some of the Alabama supporters. Many Alabama students shouted derogatory, racist comments toward the Longhorns’ players from the stands. A video went viral on social media capturing the incident.
In the video, many students hurled racist comments towards the Texas players. Some of the players were celebrating on the sidelines when they were bombarded with disgusting comments. ”You’re a p****… I’ll beat the s*** out of you,” a supporter shouted from the stands. The Texas players celebrated and danced as the abuse came down from the stands.
There should be no room for racism in sports and the college football governing association, the NCAA, should take strict actions against the supporters who hurled these remarks. The Alabama Crimson Tide will play their next game against the South Florida Bulls on September 16, whereas the Texas Longhorns will host the Wyoming Cowboys in their next game.

The Texas Longhorns went to Alabama and came out with a win. It was a great game, and the Longhorns snapped head coach Nick Saban’s streak of never losing a home game in double digits for 111 games. The Longhorns won the game 34-24 and handed with QB Quinn Ewers having a stellar night.
Fans on social media reacted to this upset win, with some people calling Alabama head coach Nick Saban overrated. Now, that’s a bit of a stretch.
