“F**k that fat lazy slob of sh*t!” – Ex-Commanders DT Albert Haynesworth WHACKED on social media for defending Dan Snyder and shading his teammates instead

The controversial owner Dan Snyder recently sold the Washington Commanders to a group led by Josh Harris for a record $6.05 billion deal. The people of Washington were more than happy to see the back of Snyder and celebrated his exit. Snyder’s tenure as the owner of the Washington-based football team is widely considered the worst ownership job in NFL history. But the former Redskins (now known as the Commanders) player Albert Haynesworth surprisingly has a different opinion about Snyder.
“Everybody’s like, ‘Dan’s an a-hole, whatever, but he’s not. Everyone’s like, ‘He ruined Washington, D.C. He ruined the [Commanders]. This guy, who he was … he loved [Washington]. He’s like watching every practice, he’s doing all that stuff,” said Haynesworth in a recent interview with Outkick’s Jonathan Hutton.
However, Haynesworth did say that Snyder didn’t know a ton about football and was just a “billionaire fantasy footballer.” The former defensive tackle implied that Snyder focused more on signing big names rather than building a team from scratch. Which might’ve been the reason for the team’s failures over the last two decades.
Haynesworth himself is one of those questionable signings by the Commanders. He signed a $100 million deal with the Washington-based franchise back in 2009 but didn’t have a lot of success. He is regarded as one of the worst free-agency signings in the last decade.
Apart from praising Snyder, Haynesworth also threw some shade at standout former Washington players. “Most of them are trash,” he said. “Yeah, it’s all of them like DeAngelo Hall, Clint Portis, [Chris] Cooley. They’re a joke. They belong in Washington because they are what the team represented back then, which is trash.”

Social media rips Albert Haynesworth for defending Dan Snyder
The Commanders fans on social media took issue with Albert Haynesworth defending the controversial owner Dan Snyder. Haynesworth is already not a popular figure in Washington since he performed poorly for them after signing a massive $100 million contract back in 2009. Now, the 2-time All-Pro DT shading Washington’s standout players did not sit well with the fans. Check out some of the reactions below.
Haynesworth was drafted by the Tennessee Titans in the first round of the 2002 NFL Draft. He struggled to find his footing in the league for some time before exploding in 2007.
After registering back-to-back All-Pro seasons in 2007 and 2008, the 2-time Pro Bowler signed a big contract with the Redskins in 2009 free agency. However, he failed to perform at a high level in Washington.
Following his 2 year stint with the Redskins, Haynesworth played for the New England Patriots and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the 2011 season before retiring from football the same year.
