Alexander Mattison played an integral part in the Vikings’ victory over the Jets in this week’s fixture of the NFL. The Vikings RB delivered a 14-yard touchdown that added 7 crucial points to the scoreboard.
The TD is always celebrated spectacularly. While some players have designed their trademark celebrations, and some do what’s trending on social media.
However, Mattison went on a different route when he decided to do something out of the usual while celebrating the TD. After delivering the TD, the 24-year-old RB started limping, indicating pain in his hamstring.
Mattison then went down on the ground in complete agony and as his teammates came to check on him, the Vikings RB started twerking. His teammates were surprised and laughed the whole situation off.
The video went instantly viral on social media and everyone called out Mattison for copying the celebration from a women’s soccer game. The Vikings Rb then posted the original celebration clip on his Twitter, calling it his inspiration.
The Vikings have won yet another game and are turning out to be serious NFC contenders with an impressive 10-2 record. The team is in complete harmony, as can be seen from the way they celebrate their TDs.

Alexander Mattison had a decent game against the Jets and decided to celebrate differently. The clip of the video went instantly viral on NFL Twitter and many started to react to it.
Firstly, many called out the celebration for being a copy, but then later Mattison cleared out everything by posting the original one and giving credit where it was due.
Many also called his celebration to be disrespectful, as the Vikings RB was twerking on the football field during a game that was televised live throughout the country.
