When Aaron Rodgers was traded to the New York Jets in the 2023 off-season, he brought in some reinforcements with him as some of his Green Bay Packers teammates ended up signing with the Jets. Allen Lazard, Malik Taylor, Randall Cobb, and Billy Turner are a few of the names that signed with the Jets in the off-season. But it seems like Rodgers isn’t done recruiting. The veteran QB recently shared a cryptic post on Instagram, seemingly recruiting his former Green Bay teammate David Bakhtiari.

Rodgers recently shared a photo of him with the Jets receiver Garrett Wilson from the training camp on his social media. What seemed like Rodgers just gushing over two of his favorite receivers, Wilson and the Las Vegas Raiders pass-catcher Davante Adams, also had a hint of a secret message in it. ESPN’s Mike Greenberg didn’t miss the David Bakhtiari tag mentioned by Rodgers and questioned the QB’s intention behind the cryptic post.

“If you touch Aaron’s rear end on the picture, you discover he has tagged surreptitiously David Bakhtiari,” Greenberg said in the recent episode of the ESPN show Get Up. “Is he telling, sort of privately telling the world, or telling the Jets, or telling Bakhtiari himself, ‘We need my guy here in New York protecting my backside?’”

Rodgers and Bakhtiari played together for a decade in Green Bay and are one of the closest friends of the 10-time Pro Bowl quarterback. Rodgers’ intentions with the cryptic message are unclear, but he certainly fueled the Bakhtiari trade rumors.

Amidst the David Bakhtiari trade rumors, the NY Jets franchise signal-caller Aaron Rodgers has opened up about the concerns of New York’s struggling offensive line.

The 39-year-old claims he is not worried about the O-line struggles yet and that there’s still plenty of time for the Jets to fix their issues. Besides, Rodgers believes there won’t be any issues once the starting five is set on the Jets’ offensive front.

New York’s deflated O-line struggled a lot against the talented Tampa Bay Buccaneers‘ defensive front during their joint practice. However, it should be noted that the Jets were missing 3 of their 5 starting offensive linemen due to injuries.

Now, once the Jets fix their starting 5, there wouldn’t many issues with their O-line. But the Jets have only little as they are just a couple of weeks away from the season opener against their AFC East division rivals Buffalo Bills.
