Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens have been embroiled in a contract dispute for quite some time now. Both the parties couldn’t agree on a favorable which led to Jackson being franchise tagged by them.

The Ravens QB later asked to be traded. However, not a single team in the NFL has shown official interest in signing the QB. Jackson is regarded as one of the best young QBs in the league currently who also happens to be a former MVP winner.

For some time, it seemed like both parties had reached an impasse. However, new reports suggest that it’s far from true and Jackson has made some unusual demands to stay with the team.

It is reported that the 26-year-old QB asked the Ravens to sign Odell Beckham Jr. and DeAndre Hopkins. After that, Jackson will have a talk with the team about a new contract.

The Baltimore-based team had not half the job when they signed OBJ for a 1-year deal worth up to $18 million. However, there has been no official confirmation regarding Hopkins’s status.

Former NFL player Andrew Hawkins was absolutely bowled away by Lamar Jackson’s demands and applauded the talented QB on Twitter. “Boss sh*t lol,” Hawkins stated on Twitter.

The Baltimore Ravens want Lamar Jackson to be their QB for the foreseeable future

Jackson is a former NFL MVP winner and even has the potential to be one of the best in the league. The Ravens would not let go of the QB easily and time and time again have shown the desire to keep him around.

This is also the reason the team franchise tagged the QB. The Baltimore-based team has also given in to his demands and has signed OBJ and is currently pursuing Cardinals WR DeAndre Hopkins. However, they are believed to be unable to accommodate him due to the salary cap.

It seems pretty obvious that Jackson wants added reinforcements to his team if he is willing to play for them. Still, Lamar Jackson will have to accept a significantly less paycheck than the one he desires. There are also rumors that the Ravens will draft a WR in the first round of the NFL draft.

The Lamar Jackson situation is currently the most talked about in the NFL world and it will continue to be until the talented QB signs a new contract with the team that drafted him.
