The Kansas City Chiefs handled their business as usual, beating the Chicago Bears at home on Sunday. It was a blowout from the start as the Chiefs dominated the Bears en route to a 41-10 victory. The game had some great moments throughout, but one moment that created a lot of buzz. It came when Chiefs’ TE Travis Kelce caught a touchdown pass, and the cameras panned to pop star Taylor Swift celebrating the score.

The rumors of Kelce dating Swift garnered a lot of momentum after Travis’ brother, Jason Kelce, confirmed those rumors in an interview. Travis Kelce extended an invitation to Swift to watch him play at the Arrowhead Stadium. Swift accepted that invitation and sat next to Kelce’s mother, Donna Kelce.

Chiefs’ head coach Andy Reid joked about setting up the pair in his post-game interview. “I met her before,” Reid told reporters. “I set them up.” Reporters asked superstar QB Patrick Mahomes about his TE’s relationship rumors with the pop star. He confirmed that Kelce had told him about Swift’s presence at the game. “He told me at the last minute,” Mahomes said. The QB admitted that he had to see it to believe it as he knew Kelce very well.

Mahomes also revealed that he has yet to meet the pop singer. “She’s a pop star,” he said. “She’s a tremendous singer, tremendous at everything she does. I haven’t got to meet her, but I guess if she ends up being with Travis, I’ll probably get to meet her at some point.”

Kelce led the Chiefs in reception with 69 yards and caught a touchdown as the Chiefs improved to a 2-1 record. The Chiefs are prime contenders to defend their Super Bowl title, and Kelce remains one of the main reasons why they would be able to do so. He just needs the “Swift” support.

After the game, Kelce and Swift were spotted leaving the locker room together. After the game, they got into Kelce’s car and left the stadium together. The presence of Swift at the game wasn’t unexpected, as Kelce had invited her to watch him play.

Kelce is one of the best players in the NFL and has been in the conversation for the greatest TE of all time. He was drafted by the Chiefs in 2013, and since then he has been an integral part of the team, winning two Super Bowls. He and the Chiefs will play the New York Jets in their next game.
