The Kansas City Chiefs have a chance to cement themselves as one of the greatest teams in the history of the league on Sunday. They will take on the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII. It is a chance for the Chiefs’ head coach, Andy Reid to force his way into the GOAT conversations. He is one of the best, he now has a chance to be considered as one of the greats.
However, the headlines dominating this week are that of a potential Reid retirement post the Super Bowl. The 65-year-old head coach has been at the helm of one of the league’s great dynasties and that is bound to take a toll on him at some point. Reid though, is adamant that the time for his retirement hasn’t arrived yet.

Reid said during the media day on Monday:
Am I retiring? Listen, my mom and dad told me this when they were working. They said you'll know when it's time. And I'm ready to go right now. Let's go. That's what they would tell me when I was young. I was an inquisitive kid, and so that's the way I look. Somewhere, you're going to know when it's time. Today's not the dayAndy Reid said
Reid joins Bill Belichick (nine), Don Shula (six), and Tom Landry (five) as the only head coaches in NFL history to reach five Super Bowls. Reid would become one of only six head coaches to win three or more Super Bowls, along with Belichick, Chuck Noll, Joe Gibbs, and Bill Walsh, should they win in Super Bowl LVIII.

Hunt said:
I've heard the same reports that you have and have been surprised to see so many of them out there because I have no sense from Andy that he's ready to retire. That's a conversation we'll have at the end of the year. I am not expecting him to retire. He loves what he's doing. I know he's energized by the team that he has... I look forward to having Andy as our head coach for many more years.Clark Hunt said
The Chiefs are looking to win their third Super Bowl title under the Patrick Mahomes-Andy Reid era. They are hoping to become the first team since the 2003-04 New England Patriots to repeat as Super Bowl champions.
